Sanjeeta Bhattacharya - Shams (Official Video)

Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, a soulful, spirited and lively musician lends new meaning to friendship and nomadic living with her song "Shams". Sanjeeta's inspiration behind the song originates from a book called "40 Rules of Love" by Elif Shafak. She wanted to write a song about a character in it, his name is Shams of Tabriz, who is a wandering Sufi dervish. He is known to have been Rumi's best friend. The true essence of the song can be summarized in the words below: "I need not a master or a disciple, but a friend, a companion. Let us sit at each other's feet as equals. Inside, we have so many harmonies, we are not only what we see" We bring together Sanjeeta's raw talent along with equally raw and bold looks from our Fakirani collection. PS: There's more to come. Stay tuned to discover Sanjeeta's journey and the story behind Shams.
